Graven Amile Bilbo was born on February 24, 1972, in Columbia, MS. He was the son of George and Ilene Bilbo. Graven was a loved son, brother, cousin, and friend. Graven is survived by his mother, Ilene, and his siblings, Natalie, Veronica, Roslyn, Debbie, Matthew, Vicky, Mona, and Timothy. Graven was loved by so many and is survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear family friends as well. Graven is preceded in death by his father, George Bilbo; Walter and Charlotte King; John and Lois Whitehead; and Herman and Allie Mae Bilbo. Graven will be remembered for many things, but mostly for his wild boyhood — like when his father asked him, “How many times have I said not to do that?” to which Graven replied, “I don’t know, but a bunch,” and for always being a little brother with dirt rings on his neck “because he’s closer to the ground.” Through these fond memories, Graven will live in our hearts forever. Grief exists where love lived first.
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23.
Graveside services will be held at Baxterville Baptist Church Cemetery (625 Gulf Camp Road, Lumberton, MS) on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Bilbo family during this time and would ask that you remember Ms. Ilene and the rest of the family in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
