Gloria Jean McDonald

May 25, 1956 — August 14, 2025

Wiggins

Gloria Jean McDonald, 69, of Wiggins, MS., left this world before our hearts were ready, on August 14, 2025, at USA Medical Center in Mobile, AL.  Gloria was born on May 25, 1956, to her parents, Elijah John and Dorothy Edith (Wallace) Anderson, in Hattiesburg, MS.  Gloria was a simple woman, and that is exactly how she wanted her family to remember her.  She loved fishing and being on the creek bank, blaring June's Journey from her phone.  Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family and impromptu trips with her daughters, where a good time was sure to be had.  Her four-legged best friend, Candy, knew all of her secrets, as she was right beside her everywhere she went.  A true fan of The Dallas Cowboys and, of course, the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, Gloria loved any opportunity she had to see or hear them.  Her family and friends will miss Gloria immensely, whose heart was not quite ready for the hole left behind by her passing.  Gloria is preceded in death by her father, Elijah John Anderson, and her mother, Dorothy Edith (Wallace) Cook; one son, Tony Lynn Anderson; her step-mother, Katherine Anderson; her grandparents, Dorothy Lemaster and Tish Anderson; as well as numerous Aunts and Uncles.  Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Angel (Allen) Collier, Sandra (Ken) Brown, and Rose (Robin Shade, Sr.) Wiggins, all of Wiggins, MS; two brothers, Johnny Anderson of Brooklyn, MS, and Mike Anderson of Southhaven, MS; and seven grandchildren, Tommy Wiggins, Mary Wiggins, Robin Shade, Jr., Willie Shade, Beulah Shade, Mario Shade, and James Shade; one great-granddaughter, Myrikal Walters.  Gloria's wishes were to "simply" be cremated and scattered along the creek bank, which her family will be honoring privately.  Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the McDonlad family during this time and would ask that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
