Lucedale

Glenn Ellis Mangrum, 61, of Lucedale, MS, left this earth for his Heavenly home on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Merit Health Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Glenn was born March 9, 1963, to his parents Jim and Betty Joyce (Lewis) Mangrum in Kosciusko, MS. Glenn attended the University of Mobile and later decided to join the United States Air Force, where he proudly served for four years. When his service was up, Glenn made his career driving a semi-truck. Glenn loved being on the open road and loved the ability to travel all over, allowing him to experience many beautiful places. Glenn loved the Lord his God with all his heart and was a proud member of Agricola Baptist Church. He loved his son David so much and Glenn always loved hearing about David's hunting and fishing adventures. Glenn loved people, never meeting a single stranger, and always making them laugh. Glenn will truly be missed here on this earth by the many friends and family he leaves behind, who loved him very much.  Glenn is preceded in death by his loving mother and father, Jim Earl and Betty Joyce Mangrum; and his brother, Stephen Earl Mangrum. Left to cherish Glenn's memory, his only son, David Ellis Mangrum (Kathleen Rinaldi) of Tampa, FL; his sister, Karen Mangrum Bounds of Lumberton, MS; his eldest nephew and loving caregiver, Jeremy Travis Holland of Lucedale, MS; nephews, Robert G. Lawrence, Jr. (Rebecca) of Slidell, LA and Jayson E. Lawrence of Mobile, AL; two great nephews, Travis R. Keyser (Raquel) of Mobile, AL and Robert G. Lawrence, III of Slidell, LA; and one great-great niece and one great-great nephew, who he was so blessed with.   A memorial service will be held at Agricola Baptist Church, 7268 Barton-Agricola Rd, Lucedale, MS 39452, on Saturday, May 25, 2024, beginning with a visitation at 10:00 am followed by a service at 11:00.
