Glenda F. Schonewitz

Glenda Faye Schonewitz, born on March 14, 1960, in Gulfport, MS, passed away peacefully at her home in Saucier, MS, on July 18, 2024, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family. She filled her days with the joy of service, dedicating her entire career to waiting tables, a job through which she touched many lives with her kindness and infectious smile. Glenda was a woman of many talents and interests. Her love for the arts shone brightly as she spent hours immersed in drawing and coloring, and she possessed a unique skill for crafting beautiful pieces of jewelry, which brought joy to all who received them. A homely soul, Glenda found comfort in the simple pleasure of watching television, with "Gunsmoke" being her unwavering favorite show, providing a familiar backdrop to her daily life. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose pride in her family knew no bounds. Glenda's legacy is one of love, artistry, and a spirited dedication to her family, whose memories of her will be cherished and celebrated forever. She is preceded by her parents Glen and Margie Mason; her sisters Ann Parker, Louise Cuevas, and Peggy Northrop. Left to cherish her memories is her husband of 33 years Rex Schonewitz; her brothers Perry and Charles Toler; her children David(Reanna) Crenshaw, Michael Crenshaw, Anthony Crenshaw, Sissy(Brandon) Allen all of Saucier; Meagan Taylor, Beaux(Cherie) Schonewitz of Gulfport; her extended family including 17 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
