Mr. Gerald Cecil Campbell

Mr. Gerald Cecil Campbell, 76 of Poplarville, passed away Saturday Dec. 2nd. He was born September 24, 1941 in Bogalousa, LA, one of 3 children to John T. Jr. and Bessie Ann Campbell. Gerald grew up and made his home in Poplarville, a typical Southern young man that enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. In his career, he worked as a driver for Miller Transporters, and at Dunn Paper Co. in Wiggins. He dearly loved his grandkids, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Gerald was preceded by his parents, John Thomas Jr. and Bessie Ann Campbell; a brother, Ray Campbell; his only daughter, Angela M. Campbell; and a nephew, Tim Campbell. Left to cherish his memories are his children, Gerald R. (Annette) Campbell of Steep Hollow, Wm. Curtis (Kathy) and Jeffery S. Campbell, all of Poplarville, and Roy F. Campbell of Decatur, AL.; one brother, Timmy Campbell, also of Poplarville; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grands, and a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM, in the older section of Poplarville City Cemetery.
