Gaynell Ladner, 84, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 19, 1939 to Ed and Rose Faye of Pass Christian, Mississippi. Gaynell Ladner lived a life filled with love, laughter, and compassion. She was known for her sense of humor and unconditional love. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of those around her with her kindness, generosity, and ability to make everyone around her feel safe and welcome. In her free time, Gaynell enjoyed fun nights at the casino, dancing, cooking, and being with family. Most of all, she enjoyed storytelling and making people laugh. The family would like to thank Deaconess Hospice, who provided support and care during Gaynell’s final days. Gaynell’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in peace. The family was at the center of Gaynell’s life. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Carl Ladner; brother Alton Faye; her children, Bettynell Ladner, C.J. (Kelli) Ladner, Beverly Necaise; her grandchildren, Randy “Jerome” (Leta) Necaise, Eric Necaise, Marisa (Kenny) Peoples, Erin (Matthew) Kolb, and Tyler (Reagan) Ladner; her great-grandchildren, Randi, Raegan, Dawson, Maggie Peoples, Klaire Necaise, and Weston Kolb. Gaynell is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. Gaynell is preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Rose Faye, her son-in-law, Randy Necaise, eleven brothers, and one sister. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her and remembered her for the warmth and kindness she brought into their lives.
