Floyce (Ladner) Peterson

Floyce Ladner Peterson, age 71, passed away on August 07, 2024, after a three-year battle with cancer. She was born on May 11, 1953, in Poplarville to the late L.V. “Shine” Ladner and Bernelia Dedeaux Ladner.

Floyce Peterson, a beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and strength. Known for her boundless hospitality, Floyce’s door was always open, and her home was a haven of love and laughter. She was a fierce protector of her family (especially to Jaylyn), a devoted mother, and a cherished aunt who made every day special with her cooking and caring heart. Floyce’s vibrant spirit, outspoken nature, and unwavering faith in God touched everyone she met. Her life was a testament to kindness and generosity, and she leaves behind a path illuminated by her love and devotion.

Welcoming her onto heaven is her loving husband, Larry Joseph Peterson; parents, L.V. “Shine” Ladner and Bernelia Dedeaux Ladner; brother, Robert “Bubba” Laveral Ladner; and her sister, Virginia Merle Ladner. Left to cherish her memories are her loving children, Jeremy Joseph Peterson, Janel Peterson (David) Blakeney, Jade Austin Peterson, and Jaylyn Brook Peterson; grandchildren, Joseph David Blakeney, and Kourtni Blair Peterson; great grandson, Baylor Lane Blakeney; sisters, Shirlene Ladner Rouse, and Bonnie Ladner Head; and her backyard son, Chad Marshall Spiers. Also left to cherish her memories are special nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
