Elroy Phillip Saucier

Elroy Phillip Saucier, age 65, passed away on April 2, 2025. He was born on November 3, 1959 in Gulfport, MS to the late Elmer J. Saucier and Vertie Ladner Saucier. Elroy Phillip Saucier was a beacon of warmth and unwavering love, whose gentle spirit touched all who had the privilege of knowing him. After a dedicated 27-year career as a salesman with Golden Flake Snack Foods, Elroy continued to make an impact by joining a close friend at Little Debbie Snack Foods, where his genuine charm and work ethic shone through. An enthusiastic hunter and passionate   fisherman, Elroy found solace and inspiration in nature’s beauty, often escaping to the great outdoors to reflect and recharge. Yet, it was his family that truly defined him. A devoted husband for 46 years, he built a lifetime of cherished memories with his beloved wife, nurturing a home filled with laughter, support, and love. As a father and grandfather, his legacy lives on through the countless moments of joy he shared, the wise lessons he imparted, and the steadfast care he offered to all who needed him. Elroy faced a lengthy battle with Stage IV cancer with remarkable courage and dignity. His resilience and grace in the face of adversity inspired everyone around him. Though he is deeply missed, his spirit continues to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and everyone who was fortunate enough to experience his kindness and genuine compassion. Elroy is preceded by his parents, Elmer Saucier and Vertie Saucier. Left to cherish to his memories is his loving wife of 46 years, Patricia Kay Cumberland; son, Phillip (Amy) Saucier; grandchildren, Phillip Clinton Saucier and Kaitlyn Tolby; great-granddaughter, Ava Hutchinson; siblings, Garland Saucier, Kenneth Saucier, Faye Garrica, and Loronda Warden.
