Eloise M. Banks, 79 of Waveland, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 5, 2018 in New Orleans. She was born Nov. 13, 1938 in Waveland, the middle of 5 children to Tommie Morgan and Lana Mae Porter Morgan. The family resided in Waveland until moving to New Orleans when Eloise was 12. As a Southern young lady, she enjoyed cooking and improved those skills through her life. She graduated from Joseph S. Clark High School in 1955, and married her beau, Edward M. Banks in June of 1957. They remained in the Crescent City, until moving to Buffalo, NY in 1969. Eloise worked as a bank teller for many years until her return to the MS Gulf Coast in 1992. She was a family lady, who loved and cared for her husband and two sons, Edward Jr. and Darrell. She loved to garden and take care of her yard, inheriting a green thumb from her father. She is remembered as a loving and devoted wife, protective mother and grandmother, who lived a sacrificial life for all those she loved and cared for. A fun-loving woman, she enjoyed the nostalgic tv shows, such as Gunsmoke, Matlock, and others of that era. Her cooking and baking skills are second to none, and she will be fondly remembered, and sadly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have been in her life. Eloise was preceded by her parents, Tommie and Lana Mae Morgan; her husband, Edward M. Banks; and one brother, Chester Morgan. Left to cherish her memories are: her 2 sons, Edward M. Banks, Jr., and Darrell O. Banks (Jennifer Gatlin), all of Waveland; a sister, Delcinia Bell of Shreveport, LA; two brothers, Albert Morgan of Toledo, OH, and Edward Morgan of Waveland; 3 grandchildren, 12 great-grands, and 3 great-great grands, along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, Feb. 24th from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service in the chapel. Interment will be held at a private time for the immediate family at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Banks family, and asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during such a difficult time.
