Obituary

Eldon Joseph Authement, 66, passed surrounded by his loving family on July 04, 2026 in Saucier, MS. He was born on March 11, 1960 in Houma, LA to Anna Lee Sevin Authement and the late Eldon Jospeh Authement Sr.

Eldon Joseph Authement, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, went to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and unwavering love for his family. A proud Louisiana native from Houma, Eldon carried the warmth and humility of his roots throughout his life.

Eldon was a devoted family man who always put his loved ones first. He found joy in the simple, meaningful moments—sharing meals, gathering with family and friends, enjoying his morning coffee, and tending to the home he took such pride in keeping. A true jack of all trades, he loved building, gardening, working in the yard, fishing, and deer hunting. He had a special love for animals, especially raising and caring for his chickens.

Eldon was a faithful and godly man with a quiet spirit and a servant’s heart that touched many lives. Though naturally shy, his kindness spoke volumes, and he gave the world everything he had in goodness and love.

He especially cherished Christmas-time, delighting in decorating, dressing as Santa Claus, and bringing joy to children. He will be remembered for the little things he did each day that made life more beautiful—acts of love that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Joseph Authement, Sr.; and his sister, Sheila Naquin.

Eldon is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Lisa Authement; his children, Anjelika (Erin) Bourg, Tiffany (Kenneth) Callahan, Dava (Clarence) Hau, Felicity (Brett) Authement, Dakota (Athena) Authement, Skylar Hotard, Joseph Bourg, and Nicole (Roy) Robinson; mother, Anna Lee Authement; brother, Ricky (Darlene) Authement; sisters, Anette (Jeremy) Whitmill and Cynthia (Ron) Ratliff; also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other beloved family members.

Eldon was truly one of a kind—a gentle, loving soul who will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
