Ms. Edwina Joy Bankston

Ms. Edwina Joy Bankston, 53 of Wiggins, passed away Thursday in Gulfport. Joy was a very outgoing and loving person that enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed interacting with people, and worked as a manager at a couple of different apartment complexes over the past few years. She lived with her mother, Martha Johns, but spent most of her time with her kids and grandchildren. Joy was baptized many years ago at Orange Grove Baptist Church, where she is still a member. She will be very sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her 2 sons, Nathan Middleton (Ashley) of Gulfport, and Dakota Bankston (Madison) of Saucier; her mother, Martha J. Johns of Wiggins; and her siblings, Sonya Parker of Wiggins, and Steven Graham (Tamara) of Kiln, MS; 4 grandchildren whom she loved dearly, and several nieces and nephews. Joy was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Collin Graham, and her brother, Darrell W. Graham. Her wishes were to be cremated, which her family is honoring. The family has set a celebration of her life on Sunday, September 25th, beginning at 2:00 PM, at Trinity Funeral Services' McHenry location. Joy's memorial service will be at 4:00 PM in the chapel. Friends and acquaintances are encouraged to attend. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to have assisted the Bankston family in their time of need.
