Mr. Edwin Lindy King, 62 of Wiggins, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Lindy was born on September 1, 1953 in Freeport, Texas, to Willard and Ouida King. He and his family have called Wiggins home for the past 37 years. He will be remembered as an honest, straightforward man, who so enjoyed working with his hands. He was a skilled carpenter and craftsman, taking lots of pride in his work. Lindy also enjoyed cooking, especially BBQ, and was known for his pulled pork. He enjoyed getting together with family and friends, and had a voice much like Elvis'. A faithful and dedicated husband and father, he will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Jewel Prestine King, 5 children, Archie King, Beau King, Bryant King (Alice), and Zalee King, all of Wiggins, and Brandy Wade (Greg) of Hockley; his mother, Ouida Yvonne King of Wiggins, and 2 sisters, Sangie Smith (David) of Trap Hill, NC, and Cynthia Bienvenu (John), also of Wiggins; 8 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at graveside on Monday, August 22, 2016, at 10:00 AM in the Wiggins City Cemetery. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to have assisted the King family in their time of need.
