Edna Maxine Glover, 83 of Wiggins, passed away at her home Dec. 8, 2021. She was born November 28, 1938, in Oroville, CA, one of eight children and daughter of Willard Roy and Eva Zelma (Gilpatrick) Owens. She grew up on her family's small farm in Biggs and was accustomed to caring for the animals and chickens, feeding watering, gathering eggs and so on. Edna enjoyed music, singing and dancing, when she wasn't dealing with animals or other chores. She met Ed Glover when she was 16 and they were married just a couple of months later. They first made their home in the Sacramento area awhile Ed worked for the airlines. Later they moved to Hayward California where Edna took care of the home and family. Ed retired in 1993 from the air lines. Then they left California for South Mississippi. Edna was a Christian by faith, attending New Covenant Assembly of God in Wiggins for many years, singing in the choir and serving however she could. At potluck dinners, everyone always wanted her clam chowder and Edna was more than happy to oblige. In her spare time, she loved to read, cook, sew and garden. Edna also enjoyed travelling, visiting 49 states in her lifetime, only missing Alaska in her quest to see them all. Once she actually visited 17 states, in just 19 days. She will be fondly remembered and missed beyond measure by all whose life she touched. Edna was preceded by her parents, Willard and Eva Owens, and her brothers: Charles, Howard, Robert, Perry and Richard Sohnrey, and her loving husband of more than 64 years, Ed Glover. Left to cherish her memories are her children: Sharon Olson of Wiggins, Russell (Jennifer) Glover of Fountain, CO, Robert Glover of Las Vegas, NV; sisters Hazel (Euclid) Simmons of Sacramento, CA and her sister Linda (Walter) Mossman of Biggs, CA. She leaves a legacy of six grandchildren, including: Jasmine (Jeremy) Rush, Darryl Glover, Melissa Edwards and Ash (Stephanie) Glover; ten great-grands, including: Jeremy Rush, Jr., Jessica Tillman, Roman, Gabby and Alexandra Glover, Chase, Lydia and Anna Edwards, along with numerous extended family members, friends and neighbors through the years. Her final wishes were to be cremated and interred with her late husband at Biloxi National Cemetery. A Celebration of her Life will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022, 1:00 PM at New Covenant Assembly of God Church in Wiggins, with friends and acquaintances all invited to attend. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Glover family once again in their time of need. Please join us in keeping the entire family in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
