Mr. Earnest Wesley Waltman

Earnest W. "Wes" Waltman, 73 originally from Vancleave, passed away at his residence in the Ramsey Springs community Sunday morning. Wes was born May 29, 1949, the son of Mary Waltman and P.A. Evans. He grew up enjoying the things most young boys did in rural Jackson county, hunting, fishing, and working in the garden. He was the hard working type, hauling paperwood as many used to do. He also worked at MGCCC Jackson County Campus, and at Ingall's Shipyard over the years. For the past several years, Wes has lived in the Ramsey Springs community with his sister, Mary Lou and his brother Peter. He made sure that they had a garden each year, and even left them with some beans to pick this year. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Lou Wallis of Ramsey Springs, and Joyce Sims of Kiln; and his brothers, Peter Waltman of Ramsey Springs, and Andrew Livings of Pass Christian. Wes was preceded by his parents, Mary Waltman and P.A. Evans. Wes' wishes were to be cremated, which his family is following. A memorial service will be set later this week, with details provided as soon as arrangements are made.
