Earl "Pops" Walker, a cherished member of the Saucier community, passed away unexpectedly on January 14, 2026, at the age of 65. Born on November 16, 1960, in Gulfport, Earl lived a life full of love, laughter, and unforgettable stories that touched the hearts of many.
Earl was much more than a bright presence; he was a dedicated public servant who spent 17 years working for the City of Gulfport. His roles included contributions to the Harrison County fairgrounds and parks and recreation, showcasing his diverse talents and commitment to his community. Known as a true "Jack of all trades," Earl approached each task with enthusiasm, earning the respect and gratitude of those around him.
As a proud graduate of Harrison Central High School, Earl nurtured friendships that would last a lifetime. He was a very caring person, always extending kindness to others and brightening their days with his entertaining stories. Earl had the remarkable ability to become the life of any gathering, captivating listeners with his humor and wit. Friends often remarked on his incredible storytelling prowess, a gift he cherished and wished to be remembered by.
Earl's legacy is deeply rooted in the love he shared with his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Renea Walker, and their three loving sons, Chad (Julia) Walker, Joe Walker, and Chris (Heather) Carter. Earl delighted in being a husband and a proud Pops to his grandchildren, Jayson Walker, Elijah Walker, and Grace Carter. Each shared an irreplaceable bond, and Earl often found joy in recounting tales that entertained his grandchildren, weaving laughter into the fabric of their lives.
He is also survived by his siblings, Cathy Walker, Darryl Walker, and Kenneth Walker, will remember him not only as a brother but as a pillar of support. Earl’s warm spirit and genuine concern for others left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him.
Earl was preceded in death by beloved family members, including his daughter, Krystle Carter, his brother, Danny Walker, and his parents, Avery and Nancy Walker. Though they have left this earthly plane, the stories and love they shared with Earl will forever be a part of him.
In every tale he shared and each smile he offered, Earl "Pops" Walker created a legacy of laughter, warmth, and remembrance that will continue to resonate throughout the hearts of those he touched.
