Earl Eugene Edwards, 57 of Kiln, passed away Tuesday afternoon at Highland Community Hospital in Picayune. Earl was born December 18, 1963 in Amite, LA, the son and middle of three children to Earl Ray and Nelly Irene (Hastings) Edwards. Growing up in and around New Orleans, he wasn't really the city type, but he loved most anything outdoors. Hiking, fishing and camping were among his favorites. Earl did enjoy his rock music, and even learned to play the drums with his friends. His primary effort in life was work and that he did. After his educational pursuits were over, Earl went to work in the construction field. He already had a working knowledge of electricity, but apprenticed with Joe at Landman Electric to hone his skills, spending his career as an electrician. When he had spare time, Earl continued to enjoy the outdoors, taking his family hiking and camping often. He was also the legitimate grill master of the family, handling the grill with ease and taught his kids to as well. Over the last several years, he and his son operated Shine Dr. Detailing, a mobile detailing service around South MS and beyond. Earl is fondly remembered as an always upbeat and outgoing guy with a great sense of humor. He loved laughing and getting others to as well. Earl was a hard working provider for his family and was very protective of them as well. He definitely lived life his way, no matter what others may have thought. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him. He was preceded by his parents, Ray and Nellie Edwards, and his sister Julia. Left to cherish his memories are: his three children, daughters April William (James Hammond) of Kiln and Julia (Anthony) Laskowski of CA, and his son Earl Edwards of Mobile, AL; his sister Mary (Donald) beard of Bogalusa, LA, along with two grandchildren, Abigail and Alex Nielsen of Kiln. Earl's final wishes were to be cremated and for his family to have a fun-filled gathering and cookout in his honor, which they are following. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Edwards family in their time of need, asking everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
