It is with hardened hearts that we bid farewell to Doris Jean Vazquez, affectionately known as "Dori," who departed this life on April 20, 2026, in Mississippi. Born on January 24, 1978, in Arkansas, Doris graced the world for 48 years with her radiant presence and boundless compassion.

Dori was a pillar of light, someone who truly radiated the room when she walked in. Her warmth and caring nature made her not only a cherished friend but the cornerstone of her family. She was more than a mother; she was the first love to her children and their very best friend, a role she embraced with all her heart. Her pride in her children, Norman, Nico, and Isabela Vazquez, was evident in every gesture, every word, and every moment she shared with them.

She was lovingly supported by her mother, Linda Joyce Rutherford, Her brothers, Durel (Sheryl) Levron and Aude (Shannon) Levron, stood alongside her in both joy and sorrow. The father of her children, Ramiro Vazquez, remained an important figure in her life’s story.

Dori’s proudest accomplishment was her unwavering role as the protector of her family. She shielded and nurtured, providing a sanctuary of love and safety for her children and loved ones. Her dedication knew no bounds, and her legacy of devotion will forever echo in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Though her father, Walter Nunez, and her dad, Elton Ladner, grandparents Louis and Doris Rutherford have passed on before her, their spirits live on in the cherished memories and the family she so deeply loved.

As we gather to remember Doris Jean Vazquez, we are reminded of the extraordinary woman who loved fiercely, compassionately, and with an open heart. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. Her light may have dimmed here on earth, but it will forever shine in the souls she touched. She will be missed beyond words, forever remembered, and forever loved. Fly high angel.
