Mr. Donnie Lynn Griffith

Mr. Donnie L. Griffith, 59 of the Caney community, passed away at his home last week. Donnie was the 6th of 8 children, born Sept. 8, 1959 to James & Mavis (Smith) Griffith. He grew up, and made his home there in the Caney community, and loved to fish. He attended school in Baxterville, and worked with his father in roofing, as well as some oil field work. He is remembered as a loving brother with a sweet personality, and will be sadly missed by all whose life he touched. He was preceded by his parents, James and Mavis Griffith. Left to cherish his memories are his 2 children: a son, Clayton (Jeanette) Wilson, and a daughter, Rebecca Lynn Griffith; his siblings, brothers: Mike (Regina) Dear, Ricky Dear, Ronnie (Sarah) Griffith, and Wayland Griffith; and sisters Ralene (Dewayne) Ball, Sherry (Charles) Gipson, and Nanette Davis; a couple of grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family has set graveside services for 10:00 AM Tuesday morning, October 16th at Caney Baptist Church cemetery.
