Ms. Donna Lee Webb, 84 of Perkinston, passed away Monday at Memorial Hospital Stone County. She was born July 19, 1935 in Arkansas, the oldest of three children to Don Hugh and Frieda Lee (Cullum) Logan and grew up in Marianna. Known to most as "Donna Lee", she was a determined young lady who loved to read from an early age, and maintained that passion throughout her life. She also enjoyed writing, authoring a play as an assignment for her English class as a senior at T.A. Futrall High School. It was performed at the school that same year, something Donna Lee was very proud of. She attended Arkansas A&M while she worked at the Federal Compress and Warehouses, a job she got while still in high school. Donna Lee must have liked that job, since she remained there for 50 years before she finally retired and moved to South Mississippi. Even though she no longer lived in Arkansas, she remained a dedicated Razorback fan, supporting them regardless of where she may have been. She attended the Saucier Church of Christ and did some volunteer work at Our Daily Bread in Wiggins. Donna Lee loved to travel, making regular trips to visit her daughter and grandson in Michigan, as well as around Arkansas annually, visiting extended family and doing genealogical research with her sister Barbara. Though she was happy with a good book in her hands, she was a caring, loving sister, mother, and grandmother who will be fondly remembered and sadly missed. Donna Lee was preceded by her parents, Don H. & Frieda L. Logan, and her only brother, Hubert Logan. Left to cherish her memories are: her daughter Mallory Zanetta of Tekonsha, MI, and her grandson, Zeke Zanetta; her sister Barbara (Dan) O'Neal of Perkinston, MS, and her closest friend from high school and throughout her life, Pat Wilson of Marianna, AR, along with numerous co-workers, friends and neighbors through the years. Her final wishes, which she made known to all, were to not have any funeral services. A memorial gathering may be set at a later date. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Webb family in their time of need, and asks everyone to keep them lifted up in prayer over the coming days.
