Donna Sherrill Callahan

Donna Sherrill Callahan, age 56, passed away in Hattiesburg, MS on April 20, 2023. She was born in Lumberton. MS on November 29, 1966 to the late Daniel Sedgie and Earnestine Rouse. Donna was a true comedian, the life of the party, and the one who could always make you laugh, and she had a wit sharper than a tack. She loved to keep everyone on their toes with her hilarious antics and jokes. When she wasn't cracking jokes, Donna was spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. She loved nothing more than getting everyone together for a big meal and some good old-fashioned family time. She also loved to escape to Gulf Shores to soak up some sun on the beach or head to the mountains for some fresh air and stunning views. Donna was a generous and compassionate person, always willing to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. She loved music and singing, and her performances will always be remembered fondly by those who were lucky enough to witness them. Donna was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many, and her spirit and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Donna is preceded by her parents, Sedgie and Earnestine Rouse; and one brother, Arlin Rouse. She  is survived by her children, Austin (Jessica) Barnett, Hunter (Katie) Callahan, and Jackson (Madison) Callahan; and her sisters, Nelda (Baylis) Lowe, Kathy Bishop, and Diane (Mike) Sargent; grandchildren, Holden Barnett, Caroline Callahan, Colston Callahan, Hunter Mulkey, and Haeden Mulkey. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews she loved as her own.
