Donald Ray Hoda

Donald Ray Hoda, 76 of Saucier, passed away on February 10, 2023 in his home. Donald was born on July 08, 1946 in Gulfport, MS one of seven children to parents Placide Babalon and Mae Mayfield Hoda. He grew up in Lizana community where he was known to be a bit rough. Donald was a South MS country boy and enjoyed fishing and hot rods. Donald attended Harrison county schools and went to work as a paint and body man. He had his own shop for a time but spent a good deal of his career working for other shops and driving trucks. He is remembered as a pretty good 'Ol boy...for the most part. As we all do, he had some bad habits for a few years, but one answered prayer changed all that. He enjoyed riding around, visiting with family and friends to pass the time. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all those whose life he touched. Donald is survived by his son, Shannon Ray Hoda of Gulfport, MS; and two sisters, Mary Kirkpatrick and Beverly Hoda. Donald is preceded by his parents, Placide and Mae Hoda; two brothers, Donnie Hoda and Floyd Hoda, and two sisters, Lois Wagner and Flo Hinton.
