Donald “Donnie” Sylvester Necaise, age 78, of the Crane Creek Community, passed away on December 10, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Donnie was a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a faithful friend whose kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering dedication to others touched everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvester “Sap” Necaise and Doris Necaise; Seaborn and Geraldine Shaw; his brother, Jimmy Necaise; his nephews, Bobby Dykes, Jr. and Jerred Necaise; and his niece, Melanie Walker.
Donnie leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend, Rebecca “Becky” Necaise, with whom he shared a lifetime of love. He was a proud father to his daughters, Katrina Shaw (Barry Tarver) and Natasha Green (Garry Green), and a cherished grandfather to Braxton Green, Taylor Shaw, Jr., Olivia Shaw, Addison Green, and Carter Green, who were truly the joy of his life.
He is also survived by his siblings: Amy Ladner (Roger), Dubois Ladner (Pat), Sylvia Walker (Glen), Thresia Dykes, Annette Ladner (Roland), Veronica Ladner (Randall), Mary Cade (Dewayne), Regina Weeks (Timothy), Larry Necaise (Yvette), Paul Necaise (LarRece), Gerard Necaise, and John Necaise. He shared a special bond with his godchildren, Rochelle Eubanks, Mia Lee, Brent Necaise, and Carson Lee.
Donnie proudly served his country, completing two tours in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He continued his lifelong commitment to service through the Mississippi National Guard, where he dedicated many years before retiring with the distinguished rank of Chief Warrant Officer Four (CW4). His service reflected his deep sense of duty, honor, and love for his country.
He is further survived by his uncle, Charles Necaise (Becca); his aunts, Myra Peterson, Helen Jones (Ronnie), and Linda Necaise; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Donnie found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed reading, watching television, hunting, fishing, and most of all, spending time visiting with family and friends. A faithful Christian of the Roman Catholic faith, he lived with humility, generosity, and an unwavering love for his family.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the Biloxi VA Home-Based Primary Care (HBPC) and Hospice Team, the Vital Caring Hospice Team, his devoted daily care assistant, Cheryl Drean, and to Gloria Ann “Granny” Ladner and Amy Flynt for their loving support, compassion, and care during his final days.
Though he will be deeply missed, Donnie’s legacy of love, service, faith, and family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
