Donald Grant Cochran

Donald Grant Cochran, 55 of Wiggins, passed away Saturday at his home in Wiggins. He was born June 7, 1965 in Wiggins, the middle of three children and son of Donald Hugh and Patricia Ann (Hall) Cochran. He grew up in Wiggins and loved to fish, hunt, water ski and ride 4-wheelers, which most boys did here in Stone county. Known to most everyone as Grant, he was an outgoing, friendly person that enjoyed music. A member of the Stone High Class of 1983, Grant attended MGCCC at Perk for a while before going to work in construction. He is remembered as a kind, loving person with a tender heart. Grant had his share of struggles in life, as most all of us do, but he dearly loved his family and his girls. He leaves this life much too soon and will no doubt be fondly remembered by all whose life he touched. He was preceded by his parents, Donald & Patricia Cochran, his uncle Bobby Hall and an aunt, Mary Brehm. Left to cherish his memories are: his daughters Karly and Karsen Cochran, both of Wiggins; his sisters, Karen (Peter) Hayes of Wiggins and Melissa (Michael) Holman of Gulfport; his uncle Rev. Jim (Bootsie) Hall, also of Gulfport, and his aunt Emilie Hall of Vancleave; nieces Jordan and Gracie Holman and nephew Sam Holman, all of Gulfport, with numerous extended family and friends through the years. A celebration of Grant's life is set for Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at Trinity Funeral Services' McHenry location. Due to Hurricane Sally's impact on our area, those plans may change. Additionally, due to the covid-19 situation, those planning to attend should adhere to all safety guidelines and refrain from attending if you are currently experiencing any signs or symptoms.
