Mr. Dolphas Wedgeworth Jr

Mr. Dolphas Wedgeworth, Jr, 56 of Saucier, passed away February 13, 2019 at his home surrounded by family. Dolphas was born October 1, 1962, the son of Dolphus and Glenda (McQueen) Wedgeworth. He grew up between South MS and Texas, with the majority of that spent in Saucier. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, working on old cars, and drag racing, owning a few drag vehicles in his time. Dolphas faced a lot of adversity, and many health problems in his life, but never let any of them get him down. He was a strong, straight-forward guy that was honest to a fault. He loved his family, helping raise six of his nieces and nephews, and his efforts made a huge impact on their lives. With all that, his grandchildren was his world. He is remembered as a loving, giving brother. A helpful and selfless father and grandfather who was always there, he will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Dolphas was preceded by his parents, his sister, Rhonda Thibodeaux, and his brother, David Zambrowski. Left to relish his memories are: his children, Shawn, Amanda, and Justin Wedgeworth; his six grandchildren, Ambrie, Presleigh, Holdyn, Kaylen, Bailey, and Blaine; his step-dad, who in his words was "more of a dad than any other", Donald Zambrowski; along with several neices, nephews, and countless friends and neighbors. Services are set for Saturday, February 16th at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry. The family will recieve friends for visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. A chapel service will begin at noon, after which Dolphas will be laid to rest in the Wedgeworth Cemetery near his home in Saucier. Trinity is honored to serve the Wedgeworth family in their time of need, and asks everyone to keep them in their thoughts and prayers.
