Dickey Ray Payne Jr

Dickey Ray Payne Jr. of Vancleave passed away on October 10th, 2022. He was born August 17th,1978 to Evelyn and Dickey Payne. He grew up in the St. Martin community, Dickey was always tearing something up. He loved taking things apart, just to try and put them back together. Dickey at 16, followed in his father's footsteps as a fisherman on a shrimp boat. It was there he found a love for shrimping, where he stayed his entire life. Known as jack of all trades, his second love was junking. He figured he had to hold on to everything, because at some point he would need it. Taking woodshop in high school, Dickey came to enjoy carpentry work. He was always doing something, but most of the time he was elbows deep in an engine to help someone else. Even in his last moments, he was living his life to help others. Dickey Ray will deeply missed by all who loved him and all of those whose lives he touched. Dickey Ray is preceded by his parents Dickey Ray Sr. and Evelyn Payne, sister Heather Keller, and cousin Darrell Lizana. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Dayna Payne; children Brandon(Summer), Dillon(Madison) Payne, Felicity Tirey; grandchild Kaia Chloe Payne; siblings James Payne, Heath(Elizabeth) Hebert; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends, his beloved dog Renegade, and any who he helped throughout his life. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. Trinity funeral services is honored to serve the Payne family in their time of need, and ask you to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
