Diana Sue (Holston) Wiltshire

Diana Sue Wiltshire, 58 of Lumberton, passed away Wednesday evening at Forrest General Hospital. Born December 21, 1961 in New Orleans, Sue was the oldest of two children to Tommy Holston and Alma Diane Slade. She grew up in the Lumberton area, on a family farm close to Red Creek. A country girl at heart, she enjoyed going to the creek to fish and cool off on those hot summer days after working in the hay fields. In her free time, she liked to roam the woods on dune buggys with her friends. Growing up as she did, Sue was not afraid of work and could do most anything she set her mind to. After her school days were over, she opened her own restaurant, "Mr. B's" and ran it for a couple of years. She worked as an optician, managed the Tobacco Shack and painted houses with her husband for a while. Together, they could prep and paint an entire house in three days. When the casinos came along, she added dealing blackjack to her resume. Sue was one to never leave home without her make-up done right, her bling where it belonged and dressed to a "t". Among her hobbies were adult coloring books, movies, music and her daily dose of reality tv. She enjoyed her flowers and keeping her yard in pristine condition. She was a wonderful, loving mother and a "pretty good" mother-in-law, according to Zack anyway. A doting grandmother and the best "Meme" ever, she will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Sue was preceded by her parents, her husband Robert H. Wiltshire, and hr only brother, Steve Holston. Left to cherish her memories are: her two children: Candace (Zack) Cobb of Lumberton, and her son Stephen Gray; five grandchildren: Maddie & Mayleigh Cobb, Brittany & Mason Gray and Alexis Stotts, along with numerous extended family, friends and neighbors through the years. The family has set visitation for Friday evening, beginning at 6:00 PM at Trinity Funeral Services in Lumberton, with the funeral service set for Saturday morning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Ladner-Lee Cemetery.
