Dian Platter

Dian Platter, age 72, passed away on September 24, 2022 in Biloxi, Mississippi. She was born on October 6, 1949 to Walton C. Phillips and Syble (McNeil) Phillips in Livingston, Texas. Dian was born and raised in Texas and graduated from Livingston High School. She worked as a switch board operator at Bell South in Gulfport, MS. She was also owner & Operator of Ladner Vacuum Trucks with her first husband Robert (Buck Shot) Laveral Ladner & worked as an activity Director at a nursing home, in Livingston, Tx. Dian was a hard worker, and her strong will was a testimony of her character that could overcome anything. She was 100% involved in her sons’ lives and she was at every baseball practice and event. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and making quilts on her antique sewing machines. Everyone will miss her spitfire personality and her annual Christmas gumbo. Dian will be missed dearly. She was a great mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend to many. Dian is preceded by her parents, Walton C. and Syble (McNeil) Phillips and two brothers, Robert and Lowell Phillips. Left to cherish her memories are her two loving sons, Josh (Crystal) Ladner and Cody (Jenna) Platter; brother, David (Margaret) Phillips; sister, Audrey Phillips; granddaughters, Bailey Beech, Shelbi Ladner, Kenzee Ladner, Rylee Platter, Lexee Platter; grandsons, Michael Shiyou, Alexander Shiyou; great-granddaughter, Josephine Ladner; great-grandsons, Bentley Beech, Laine Beech, and Karson Mitchell.
