Dennis Joseph Naquin

Dennis Joseph Naquin, born on August 22, 1948, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on November 6, 2025, in Lumberton, Mississippi. He was a remarkable individual known for his diverse skills and deep commitment to his family and the land he loved.

Dennis was a true jack of all trades, engaging in various professions from welding to truck driving, yet he found genuine fulfillment in farming. To him, tending to his garden was not merely a job, but a profound way of life. Throughout his life, he exemplified the spirit of hard work and dedication, which culminated in the proud accomplishments of creating a loving home for his family.

A loving husband for 58 years, Dennis shared a beautiful life with his wife, Susan Naquin. Together, they nurtured a family filled with love and laughter. He is survived by his brothers Timmy Naquin and Carson Naquin, and his sister Linda Hollis Naquin. His legacy also lives on through his children, Gerald Naquin with Geneva, Glenn Naquin, and Laura Naquin with Donnie, along with his cherished grandchildren: Dustin, Amy, Kimberly, Travis, Courtney, Brooke, Hayley, Laken, and Gracie. Additionally, he leaves behind a multitude of nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren who were fortunate enough to know his warmth and affection.

Dennis was not only known for his work ethic but also for his lively personality; he was a jokester and a flirt, bringing joy to those around him. Many will fondly remember the simpler moments, such as staying home to watch wrestling with family and raising animals on the farm. Music played a significant role in his life; he taught himself to play the guitar and enjoyed singing. He even shared this passion as a performer in a band with his brother, known as "Timmy and the South City Boys."

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Naquin; his mother, Emma Naquin; and his siblings: Daniel Naquin, Eddie, and Sydney. Their memories will remain part of the rich tapestry of his life, one that he lived fully and authentically.

Dennis Joseph Naquin will be remembered for his humor, hard work, and the unconditional love he shared with his family. His spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege to know him.
