Debra Rae McDaniel, 69, passed away August 23, 2022 at Gulfport Memorial Hospital. Debra was born November 04, 1952 in Peoria, IL to Donald and Lois Anne McCoy. Debra was raised in a small farm town of Trivoli, Illinois where she graduated from Farmington High School class of 1970. After high school she moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she raised her two oldest children from her first marriage. Thereafter, Debbie met James McDaniel, who would become the love of her life. She and James would move to Boise, Idaho where they would be married and start their lives together raising their third and youngest son in the years to follow. Debra worked as a manager and consultant for a few years traveling to the extent of Hawai'i, Alaska, the Virgin Islands, and many places in between. In the last four years Debra finally settled in Gulfport, MS to be closer to her youngest son in the Navy. Debra was a very well composed, intelligent, articulate and methodical person that loved to interact through storytelling. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, boating, bicycling, gardening, target shooting, hatchet throwing, and engaging in water sports. Debra was a great cook that passed down a few of her family's favorite recipes including chicken and dumplings, Jello poke cake, and her grandmas beans to her children and grandchildren. She also loved to entertain, especially the annual 4th of July Stalter Family Reunion picnic. Debra was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many who will miss her immensely. She is preceded in death by her father, Donald McCoy and one sister, Lynda McCoy. She is survived by, her mother, Lois McCoy; loving husband, James McDaniel; sons, Mac McDaniel and Albert (Donna) Anderson; daughter, Rachalle Bealer; brother, William (Paula) McCoy; sister, Vicki (Scott) Burmood; grandchildren, Nailah and Debranna Bealer, Autumn Miller, and Dakota Miller, as well as her adored schnauzer Nixie. Debra also leaves a current legacy of four great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her appearance was always beautiful! Characterized by her soft blue eyes and golden hair that blew through her beloved country and territories to include the Caribbean/Hawaiian trade winds, Gulf Coast sea breeze, and through the Aleutian winter winds at the base of Denali National Park.
