Dawn Renee Saucier, passed away at her home in Delisle, surrounded by her loving family. Dawn was born on January 18, 1961 in Santa Anna, CA, the oldest of four children to Harry and Virginia Estelle (Shely) Kreps. She grew up in Chalmette, LA where she enjoyed puzzles and other mentally challenging things. She graduated from PGT Beaureguard High School with the Class of 1979 and went to work as a teller in the banking. After she married, Dawn and her husband moved to South MS and started their own business, Hilltop Turf. They operated for many years and later changed the name to Afco Turf, which is still in operation today. Dawn is remembered as a happy-go-lucky woman that enjoyed life. She was the life of the party and had a true love for cats. At one time, Dawn had somewhere in the neighborhood of eighty-five cats, taking care of every single one of them, every day. She loved her family and friends, and will be dearly missed by all whose life she touched. She was preceded by her father, Harry Kreps. Left to cherish her memories are: her loving husband of over thirty-four years, Benny Saucier; their children, daughter Tara (Rick) Richard of Delisle; her loving mother Virginia Fossier of Slidell, LA; her brother Ricky (Dina) Kreps of Chalkmette, and her sister Lisa (Danny) Hebert, also of Slidell. She leaves a legacy of one grandson, Ricky Richard, who she did her best to spoil, with numerous extended family, friends, and her favorite inside cat, "Sweetie", not to mention several more she kept outside. Her final wishes were to be buried without fanfare in the New Delisle Cemetery, which her family is honoring. A graveside service will be Thursday, March 3rd at 2:00 PM. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Saucier family in their time of need, and asks everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers through this trying time.
