Dawn Sarie Hoare, 52 of Long Beach, passed away Wednesday evening in Gulfport. Dawn was the baby of five children, born September 9, 1968 in Jackson, MS to Phillip Oliver and Phyllis Ann (Myles) Hoare. She grew up all over the gulf South as her father served in the Merchant Marines, living in various places from Jackson, Gulfport and Long Beach, to New Orleans, Florida and beyond. When she was just 4, Dawn fractured her hip while playing on the beach, and if that wasn't enough, later learned that she had scoliosis, so her life has been a struggle at times. Through it all, Dawn remained a vibrant, outgoing person with a great sense of humor. She loved making those around her laugh, earning herself the nickname "Little Joan Rivers". Her family and friends all agree that she missed her calling doing stand-up as a comedian. She obtained her GED and went on to Jr. College, working as a kindergarten teacher at St. Thomas in Long Beach, later trying her hand at pharmaceutical sales. Dawn is remembered as a loving sister, mother and grandmother that just loved a good argument. She always accused others of trying, but it was her who had to have the last word. Dawn could cook anything she wanted and it always turned out great. The only thing she enjoyed more was shopping, hitting the dollar store on just about a daily basis. Witty, funny and always talking, she was truly one-of-a-kind and will be sadly missed by all whose life she touched. She was preceded by her parents, Phillip & Phyllis Hoare, and her sisters Pam Pitalo and Patrice Smith. Left to cherish her memories are: her only son Jarred Perronne (Julie Stevison) of Gulfport; sisters Susie Fogarty of Milton, FL and Phyllis (Alex) DeLaVega of Miami; and her only grandchild, Evan, who she loved dearly. Dawn's final wishes were to be cremated, which her family is honoring, with a celebration of life get-together to boot. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Hoare family in their time of need and asks everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
