David Edmund Williams, 69, a native of Pass Christian, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, surrounded by his loving family. David was born on February 8, 1957, at Gulfport Memorial Hospital. He grew up in Pass Christian, where he graduated from Pass Christian High School in 1975, and later made his home in Saucier. David was a skilled professional painter who took great pride in painting homes and buildings. Beyond his work, he had a wonderful sense of humor and loved making people laugh. An all-around great guy, David brought smiles and laughter to those around him. His warmth and humor will always be remembered.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth "Red" Williams, Sr. and Mary "Bernice" Williams; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Theo Wise; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Williams; his four brothers, Kenneth "Kenny" Williams, Jr., John "Danny" Williams, Raymond Williams, and Charles "Teddy" Netto; his longtime companion, Mary Sue Larive; and numerous other beloved family members.

He is survived by his daughter, Lucretia (Ronnie) Williams; two stepsons, Bronson Peterson and Brandon Peterson; four grandchildren, Alexis Hoda, Sage Hoda, Annie Bourgeois, and Chandler (Destiny) Bourgeois; and two great-grandchildren on the way. He is also survived by his sisters, Marjorie Schroeder and Pattie (Bob) Olson, along with numerous other family members and dear friends.

Although David’s time here has come to an end, the laughter he shared and the memories he made will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry, MS from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
