David Wayne Reeder, 47 of Wiggins, passed away July 13, 2023 in Ocean Springs, MS. He was born September 16, 1975 in St. Louis, MO, one of several children to the late Arthur Charles "Art" and Thelma Mae (Goodman) Reeder. David grew up in St. Louis for the most part, and wound up in Wiggins, MS, since his severe asthma required a different climate. Being part of a large family, David was the outdoors type and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and more. He enjoyed go-carts and working on small engines, trucks, or whatever needed fixing. David's family was in the tree service, and he worked hard from a young age. He did not have a fear of heights, so he spent a lot of his time in the bucket. He is remembered as a loving son, brother, father and friend. He loved to talk, so being around people was something he looked forward to. Fishing and hanging out with his friends were among his favorite things to do, when there wasn't work to be done. He never back down from work, no matter what it was. David loved his family, his son, and his wife above all. He did have his share of struggles along the way, but dealt with them as best he could. For all that he was, he will be forever missed by all whose life he touched. David was preceded by his parents, Art and Thelma Reeder; his daughter Destinee Pratt; his brothers, Richard Reeder and Dennis Frame, and his sister, Joyce Parnell. Left to cherish his memories are: his son, Gabriel Wilkinson of Wiggins; his brothers: Bobby Reeder of McHenry, Orville Reeder of Wiggins, Charlie Reeder of Woolmarket, Tommy Reeder of McHenry, and Doyle (April) Baker of AZ, with his sister Tayna Henske (John Albert Evans) of Perkinston, along with numerous extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. A Celebration of Life is set for Thursday, July 20th at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry, beginning at 1:00 PM. A chapel service will start at 3:00 PM and afterward he will be laid to rest in Oaklawn Cemetery in McHenry. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Reeder family in their time of need and asks that you remember them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
