David Samuel Newbill, Jr.

August 25, 1954 — March 15, 2023

McHenry

David Samuel Newbill, Jr., 68, of McHenry, MS., passed away on March 15, 2023, surrounded by family in his home. David was born, an only child, on August 25, 1954, in Wiggins, to parents David Samuel "Boots" and Theda Lebetha (Fore) Newbill, Sr. If you knew David Newbill, you knew he was a hard worker. From before sunup to sundown, David was working, all the while instilling a work ethic into his children. After thirty-two loyal years, David retired from MGCCC, where he was known for driving the buses. He loved being outside and, in the woods, chainsaw in hand. David worked as a short wood logger, which was also a hobby. Unlike most, David's hobbies earned a paycheck. Every day, before work, David would stop by McDaniel's General Store in McHenry, for a cup of coffee and good conversation, but mostly for the conversation, coffee was just an added bonus. David never met a stranger! In fact, anywhere he and his family would go, David saw someone he knew, even as far as Disney. He was happy and always had a smile on his face. David loved his family and was always so proud of Amber and Sam and how hard they worked. He was a proud PawPaw, who did his best to make every event and to always be present in their lives. For forty-five years, David spent every day loving his wife, Nora. He will be remembered as kind and generous by all who knew and loved him. David is preceded in death by his parents, and one grandson, Jacob Seal. Left to cherish his memory are, his loving wife of forty-five years, Nora Newbill, of McHenry; one daughter Amber (Jed) Seal of Huntsville, AL, and one son, Sam (Sarah Brown) Newbill of McHenry; his grandchildren, Reaghyn, Shaylen, Tyler, and Brady Newbill, Nathan Seal, and Zander Saunders; two cousins, who were like brothers to him, Billy (Opie) Fore, Jr. and Allen Fore. David leaves a legacy of numerous extended family and friends whom he loved very much. Services for David will be held Friday, March 17, 2023, beginning with a visitation at 5:30 pm at Trinity Funeral Services. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 18, 2023, followed by interment at McHenry Gardens. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Newbill family in their time of need and asks that you remember Nora and their family in your thoughts and prayers over the days ahead.
