David Randolph Hover, age 58, passed away on November 18, 2025. He was born on July 3, 1967, in Sulphur, Louisiana, to the late John David Hover and Phyllis Waltman Hover. Randy never met a stranger—he cared deeply about everyone he encountered. His heart was big, his laughter was full, and his smile could brighten any room. Throughout his life, he lived in California, Georgia, and Florida, embracing every moment and enjoying the things he loved most, from cooking to creating his colorful tie-dyed shirts. One of Randy’s greatest joys was cooking for large gatherings, whether it was for family or friends. He loved bringing people together, feeding them well, and filling their lives with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable memories. His generosity, kindness, and joyful spirit touched countless lives, and he will forever be remembered for the love he gave so freely. Randy is preceded in death by his parents, John Hover and Phyllis Hover; his grandparents, Alvin and Inez Hover and Randolph and Mary Waltman; and his cousins, Shannon Hover and Josh Wayne Brewer. He is survived by his oldest sister, Tammy (Daniel) Robare of Tidioute, PA; his brother, Gilbert (Shannon Wilson) Hover of Gulfport, MS; and his sister, Dione (Brandon Roberts) Santobianco of Metairie, LA. He is also survived by his nephews, Russell L. Tripp Jr. and Michael T. Santobianco; his nieces, Christine E. Tripp and Allison M. Santobianco; four great-nephews; one great-niece; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly. Randy’s life was filled with color, love, laughter, and heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
