Dave Anthony Dugas, 67, went to be with the Lord on August 4, 2026, in Mississippi. He was born on September 4, 1958, in Mississippi to Louis and Virgie Bourg Dugas. Dave was a skilled automotive body man who took pride in his work and had a natural gift for fixing just about anything. He was known for his quick wit, always having a joke ready, and for his positive, easygoing spirit. A true "old school" tough guy with a kind heart, Dave was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved tinkering, enjoyed good food, and had a smile that could light up any room.

Dave's greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He especially adored his grandson, who held a very special place in his heart. Though he was a homebody at heart, he loved riding his motorcycle with friends and found peace and happiness on the open road. He also had a special love for his dog and took pride in spoiling his family whenever he could.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Virgie Dugas; his son, Harley Dave Dugas; and one brother and one sister.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Julie Dugas; his son, Dustin (Shawana) Dugas; his beloved grandson, Remy Dugas; his sister, Sharon Marek; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Friends and family will be received at a time and place to be announced. A funeral service will follow with burial thereafter.

Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Dugas family during this difficult time and asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.
