Mr. Daryal Terrell Goff, better known as "Jr." by those closest to him, passed away Sunday at his home in Slidell. Terrell was born February 16, 1986 in Hattiesburg, the son of Arletha Goff and Daryal Nelson. He grew up in Wiggins and was an outgoing, athletic young man. He enjoyed playing basketball and football, as well as art and drawing. Terrell graduated from Stone High School, a member of the Class of 2006. He worked as a carpenter in construction, did some welding, and worked as a security guard. One of his true passions was cooking, especially grilling and smoking. Terrell loved to cook briskets and seafood, and was always perfecting his skills for family cookouts and holidays. He is remembered as a caring and witty boy, and a loving, supportive son. A loving husband and father who protected and provided for his family, he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Terrell was preceded by his grandmother, Carrie Goff. Left to cherish his memories are: his loving wife, Brittany, and their son, Kingston Terrell Goff; his mother, Arletha Latoya Goff and step-father, Nicholas Franklin; his father, Daryal Nelson; one sister, Quintessa Franklin, and brothers Ron Nelson of Wiggins, and Daryal Nelson of OK; grandmother Bertha Franklin, and great-grandmother Lillie Mae Joseph; aunts Lillie Burrell and Charlene Goff; an uncle, Michael Nelson, and cousins Tavares Burrell, Kaenika Goff, Ashley Goff, and Justin Goff, along with numerous other extended family and friends. A celebration of Terrell's life has been tentatively set for Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry, 1:00 TO 3:00 pm. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to assist the family in this difficult time. Please keep Brittany and the entire family in your thoughts and prayers in the coming days.
