Mr. Darrell Eugene Hood

Mr. Darrell Eugene Hood, 58 of Hazelhurst, passed away Friday afternoon. Darrell was born July 29, 1960 in Texas, the son of Grover & Joyce (Lindsey) Hood. He grew to be a mild-mannered, true Southern gentleman. Darrell was a Texan at heart, and loved Ranger baseball, Cowboy football, and animals. As a young man he enjoyed riding horses and 4 wheelers with his brother and parents in Blue Ridge, Texas and often reminisced about the good times he had. He will be remembered for his heart of gold and willingness to help anyone. A loving father and friend, he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Darrell was preceded by his parents, Grover & Joyce, and his brother, Barry Hood. Left to cherish his memories are: the love of his life for the last 13 years, Mary Jones; his son Cimmeron Hood of Dallas, TX, and his daughter Amber Hood; along with two grandchildren, and many additional extended family and friends. Darrell's final wishes were to be cremated, which his family is honoring. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Hood family, and asks everyone to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
