Danny Shelby O’Neal, 71, passed away at his home in Saucier January 4. He was born September 10, 1949 in Pasadena, TX to Odis and Nellie O’Neal. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Judy; brother-in-law, Robert; and grandparents, Shelby and Rosie Miller Thornhill; fur baby, Molly. Danny leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 51 years, Juanita Hawkins O’Neal; his daughter, Rebecca Anderson; his son, Shane O’Neal; grandchildren, Jared (Ashley), Max (Jenny), Seth, Emily (Josh) and Austin (Brynn); great grandchildren, Stella, Amelia, Nevaeh and Dylan; fur baby, Buster along with numerous extended family and friends. Danny was of the Baptist faith and lived on the MS Gulf Coast for the better part of his life. He married his bride on August 7, 1969 and they started their life together. Danny was a strong patriarch of his family, a good friend to all, a man who would give his shirt for a friend. He enjoyed piddling in his garage, tinkering on cars and fiddling with guns. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved his children, but it was a whole new ball game when the grandchildren arrived. Danny will be forever loved, missed beyond words and remembered always. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve Danny’s family and asks that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
