Daniel Alex
Coy
June 4, 1990 – June 4, 2026
Daniel Alex Coy, 36, passed away on June 04, 2026 in Gulfport, MS. He was born on June 04, 1990 in Aurora, IL to Brad and Sharyn Coy.
Daniel Coy passed away leaving behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and unwavering love for those around him. He was a man whose presence could light up any room—funny, easygoing, and truly a joy to be around. Daniel had a good heart and a giving spirit, always willing to help anyone in need. Whether it was a person or an animal, his compassion knew no limits.
A dependable and hardworking man, Daniel took pride in everything he did. He had a natural talent for understanding how things worked and could fix just about anything. He enjoyed working on cars, often lending a helping hand to family and friends, and spent many weekends working alongside his father. Known as a bit of a handyman, he was always the one people could count on.
Daniel was incredibly intelligent, with a sharp mind and an ability to adapt to any challenge life placed before him. He was an avid reader and a self-taught musician who played the guitar beautifully. His love for music was just another reflection of his creative and thoughtful nature. He also achieved the remarkable accomplishment of completing two degrees at the same time, a testament to his dedication and drive.
He found joy in the simple things—being outdoors, surrounded by nature, and spending time with those he loved most. One of his favorite traditions was traveling to Florida each year to celebrate his fiancée’s birthday, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Above all, Daniel was a family man. He loved deeply and would do anything for those closest to him. He shared a special bond with his beloved pets, his dog Baby and his cat Kitty, who brought him great comfort and happiness.
Daniel is preceded in death by his grandparents, Wright and Jean Seymour and Wanda Dolder; and his uncle, Michael Lewis.
He is survived by his loving fiancée, Kaitlin Quirin; his parents, Brad and Sharyn Coy; his siblings, Erica (Jason) Bockman, Jason (Janice) Coy, Steven Coy, Jennifer (Nick) Mason, and Lisa Coy; his nieces and nephews, Alexis and Jessica Bockman, Alison, Ryleigh, and Brayden Coy, and Keegan and Camden Mason; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many beloved family members and friends.
Daniel will be remembered as a warm, welcoming soul—a man who loved deeply, lived fully, and made the world a better place simply by being in it.
