Dana Lynn (Klees) Brown

Dana Lynn (Klees) Brown, 58 of Picayune, passed away April 02, 2023 at Slidell Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 21, 1964 in Marrero, LA, the daughter of Dr. John Frederick Klees, III and Gladys Pertuit Martin. Dana grew up in New Orleans where she attended Andrew the Apostle, St. Mary's Dominican High School, and Our Lady of Holy Cross College, where she earned her degree as a Registered Nurse. She was a kind, good-hearted person and nursing was almost natural for her. Dana loved her music, especially the older rock and roll, seafood, and her coffee. She also had a passion for her cats as well. She was a selfless person with a great sense of humor that loved to laugh. If you ever heard her laugh, chances are that you will always remember it. For all that Dana was, she will be loved and missed by all whose life she touched. She was preceded by her father, Dr. John Klees, III, and her bonus dad, David C. Savoie. Left to cherish her memories are: her husband Gregory P. Brown; her daughter Kristin (Nathan) Caulfield; her brother Chad Klees and her mother, Gladys Pertuit Martin, along with many siblings and family members who loved her dearly. Dana's final wishes were to be cremated, which her family is honoring, and may hold a memorial service at a later date.
