Dale Austin Farnsley, Sr.

Dale Austin Farnsley, Sr., 51 and originally of St. Augustine, FL, passed away January 30, 2023 at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula. He was born October 11, 1971 in St. Augustine, the seventh of eight children to Richard Elben and Elizabeth Rose (Morgan) Farnsley. He grew up in St. Augustine for the most part, and enjoyed fishing, camping, and the outdoors. Dale played a lot with his siblings, and was very proctetive of his younger sister, Crystal. He enjoyed playing cowboys and indians with his brothers and sisters, and he was always a cowboy, never an indian. They played what they called flag football, but there was very much some tackling going on in those games! Needless to say, they had lots of fun growing up. He attended schools in St. Augustine as well, opting out early in high school. Dale decided to head to Ohio and was went to work installing floors. He met and married Heidi, making their home in South Lebanon, a Cincinnati suburb and raised two boys. Dale wound up with some serious medical issues in the late 90s, discovering that he had diabetes which had gone unknown for many years. He worked when he was physically able to from then, and eventually wound up in South MS with his sister. He is remembered as a great brother. Dale has always been there for his sister, and was a loving father for his children. To relax, he would usually go try to catch some fish, or tinker with a small engine or something that needed fixing. He had his issues through life, but don;t we all at some point. For all that he was, Dale was loved by those who knew him best, and all will miss him dearly. He was preceded by his parents, Bobby and Liz Farnsley; his maternal grandparents, Joe Morgan and Mimi LeBlanc, and paternal grands Albertis and Gertrude Farnsley, and an infant brother. Left to cherish his memories are: his five children, two sons, Austin and Joe Farnsley of Goshen, OH, and three daughters: Ashley Farnsley of Cincy, Chandra Farnsley, and Brittney McCarthy-Bashor of Arlington heights, OH; his siblings: sisters Crystal (Gary) Jones of Gautier, Robin Farnsley of FL, and Tammy Mullins of OR, with brothers James Farnsley of IN, Thomas Wayne Farnsley, and Richard Farnsley, Jr., along with numerous extended family members and friends scattered from Florida to the Midwest. Dale's final wishes were to be cremated which his family is honoring, with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
