Obituary

Her home was never complete without her beloved dogs by her side.

Cynthia Jane Davenport Carroll, fondly known as Cindy, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, in Long Beach at the age of 70. Born on August 7, 1956, Cynthia’s life was a testament to warmth, kindness, and a love that radiated to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Cynthia brought light and laughter wherever she went. She is remembered for her loving, sweet, caring, and funny personality—a gentle soul who could always be counted on for a kind word or a good laugh. Her laughter filled rooms, her compassion soothed hearts, and her empathy made everyone she touched feel valued and understood.

Cynthia delighted in life’s simple pleasures, often filling her days with coloring, watching movies, and listening to music. She cherished time spent talking to others and socializing with both friends and family. Her home was never complete without her beloved dogs by her side, whom she tenderly cared for, offering them the same unconditional love and affection she gave to all.

Above all, Cynthia’s greatest source of joy was her family. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Danita Mirelez; her brother, Harvey L. Davenport; her cherished grandchildren, AJ Mirelez, Kayla Fountain, and Bella Mirelez. Cynthia was their constant supporter and confidante, celebrating their triumphs and comforting them through life’s challenges. The love she gifted to her family was profound, unwavering, and irreplaceable.

Cynthia delighted in life’s simple pleasures, often filling her days with coloring, watching movies, and listening to music.

Cynthia now joins those she dearly missed: her husband, Jasper Carroll; her parents, Harvey Davenport and Betty Jane Davenport Bragg; and her beloved brothers, Damon E. Davenport and William R. Davenport. The memories they made with Cynthia will remain as steadfast reminders of a deep and enduring family love.

Those whose lives Cynthia touched will always remember her irrepressible spirit, her heartfelt kindness, and her ability to make every person she met feel seen and appreciated. Her legacy is one of laughter, compassion, and a life lived with open arms and an open heart.

While her absence leaves a profound emptiness, her memory will forever be treasured by her children, grandchildren, and those friends and family who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Services for Ms. Cindy will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry, MS, beginning at 10:00 am for a Visitation and a Funeral Service directly following at Noon.  Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Carroll family during this time. We ask that you remember them all in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days ahead.
