Obituary

Curtis Dale Pearce, 70, of Poplarville, Mississippi, passed away on October 28, 2026, with his wife by his side after enjoying a lunch date on the back porch, his favorite place to be. Curtis was born on January 16, 1956, in Delhi, Louisiana, to his parents, Clifford Curtis and Maxine (Morrow) Pearce. Curtis was raised in Northern Louisiana and lived in St. Charles Parish before moving to Poplarville, where he would then call home. Curtis made a living as a master mechanic, working in several different industries along the Mississippi River. In 1985, Curtis would meet the love of his life, Sandy Bulmer, after church one morning at a red light, he tapped on her glass, and invited her to lunch.  God had answered his prayers, and after only a few short months of dating, they would marry in the spring of 1986. For forty years, Curtis and Sandy spent their lives together raising childrenn, grandchildren, and all of the wildlife Curtis adopted. Curtis was known for his geese and his deer. He loved feeding them and walking the pond's edge, where he made sure his home was their home. A true servant's heart, Curtis never hesitated or asked permission to help someone in need. If he saw a yard that needed tending, he hopped on that "Bad Boy" and served God's people. His heart was always open and willing to serve. A true testimony to the many friendships he made over the years. Curtis loved his family and the joy his grandchildren brought to his life. He was a beloved and faithful member of Crane Creek Baptist Church and will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Maxine Pearce. Curtis will be lovingly remembered by his wife of forty wonderful years, Sandy; his children Claire (Jason) Quartana, Ruthanne (Patrick) Richard, Matt (Samantha) Pearce, and Ariel (John) Ervin; his siblings, June (Rob) Lewsader, John (Marci) Pearce, and Mary Anna (Gary) Norman; a legacy of ten grandchildren who will fondly remember their Paw, Tatum, Tristan, Mason, Kade, Peter, Annabeth, Brieze, Gwendolyn, Max, and Carolyn. Services for Curtis will be held at Crane Creek Baptist Church on Friday, October 30, 2026, beginning with a short Visitation at 11:30 AM and a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM. Curtis will be laid to rest at Crane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery directly following his service. Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Pearce family during this time and we ask that you remember them all in your thoughts and prayers over the coming days.
