Curtis Dewitt Cole

Curtis Dewitt Cole, 54 of Oak Grove, passed away May 20th at University Medical Center in Jackson. Curtis is survived by his father, Curley Cole and step-mother, Roma Cole; his uncle, Charlie Webb and an aunt, Verlene Cole, along with numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded by his mother, Evelyn B. Cole and sister Cristi D. Cole; paternal grandparents, Dewitt & Ruby Cole and maternal grandparents, Edgar Buckley and Dottie Webb. Curtis graduated from Oak Grove High School with the Class of 1985. He was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. Curtis worked with his dad in the pallet business for the past 35 years. He enjoyed throwing darts, car races and working on cars, trucks and tractors, but he loved riding his Harley Davidson. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services are set for Tuesday, May 25th at The Grove Church, 121 Cole Road in hattiesburg. Visitation will begin at 11:30, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Afterward, Curtis will be laied to rest in the Bellvue Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of floral arrangements, the family requests donations be made in his honor to The Grove Church.
