Clifton Ron Smith

Clifton Ron Smith, 65, passed away on October 13, 2023 at Forrest General in Hattiesburg, MS. Clifton was born on April 15, 1958 in Lumberton, MS to parents William C Smith and Monnie Saucier. Clifton was the 5th of 7 children in the family, being born a set of twins with his brother Don. Its easy to say Ron and Don have been together since birth, as kids they would swap seats in school and the teachers wouldn't even notice. They loved the outdoors and spent all the time they could outside. Simple country living, from riding bikes to hunting and fishing, they didn't miss an opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors. They started work around the age of 13 during the summer on job sites with their dad, from New Orleans for a couple years to Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and Mississippi. They built everything condos, field houses, court houses and many more throughout the years doing commercial work. Ultimately both brothers retired in 2020 enjoying the peace and tranquility of the woods ever since. Clifton is preceded by his parents William C Smith and Monnie Saucier; his Brother Wade; and his Sister Janice. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 24 years Ramona Jean Smith; his children Nicole Leon Guerreo(Rodney) of San Antonio, Shelly Brown(Clay Alford) of Tinsley, MS, Justin Rushing(Mallory) of Bentonia, MS; Siblings Jim Wilson(Barbara) of Lumberton, Jane Davis(Bill) of Quitman, Don Smith of Lumberton, and Jyl Hemba(Phillip) of Russellville, AR; Grandchildren Colton Brown, Brooke Rushing, Ryan and Arianna Guerreo, Tinsley Alford, and Harley and Jared Brown. Ron will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
