Clifton Wayne Prescott

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clifton Wayne Prescott, 44 of Gulfport on March 25, 2020. He was born to James Prescott, Sr. and Teresa (Richardson) Vizy August 16, 1975 in Gulfport, MS. He is preceded in death by his father, James Prescott, Sr. Clifton leaves behind to cherish his memory; his daughters, Leah and Brittany Prescott; mother, Teresa Vizy; brother, James (Tracy) Prescott, Jr.; sister, Candice Prescott; Granny, Maxine Richardson; grandson, Parker along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Clifton was definitely one of a kind.  He lived 1,000 years in the 44 years we had him. He was a rare combination of someone who had a love of life and a firm understanding of what was important- the simplicity of living a life with those you love. He had a heart of gold and a smile that made you feel loved. His family knew him only as a loving, gentle soul that had a smart mouth! Clifton’s hobbies included shooting pool, riding motorcycles and hunting. He was an avid Alabama fan along with being a self-proclaimed redneck!  Clifton was loved more than words could ever express and will be missed beyond measure.  This is not good-bye but until we meet again, my friend. A Celebration of Life to honor Clifton will be held at a later date.
