It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christoper "Chrisco" Scott Ladner, age 55, who peacefully entered his heavenly home on April 12th after a courageous battle with cancer.
Chrisco was an affectionate, warm-hearted man whose generosity and compassion touched everyone who knew him. He was dependable to his core-always there for his family and friends, offering support, encouragement, and kindness without hesitation. Thoughtful in all that he did, he had a way of making people feel loved.
From an early age, Chrisco had a natural talent for operating equipment of all kinds, from the smallest machines to the largest. His confidence behind the wheel became something of a family joke-we all knew that if we saw him coming, we'd better give him the whole road, because he was going to take it whether it was his or not. That fearless spirit and sense of humor were just a few of the many things that made him unforgettable.
He found his greatest joy in spending time with his family and friends, cherishing every moment shared. Chrisco also had a deep love for his cattle, a passion that reflected his hardworking nature and appreciation for a simple, meaningful life.
He is survived by his father, Dickie Joe (Jenny) Ladner; his mother, Glenda Ladner; his sister, Jennifer (Casey) Weems; his nephews, Tyler Fagan and Chase (Haley) Fagan; and his niece, Brooke Fagan. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering loyalty that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Levan Ladner; his grandmother, Hannah Phillips; his grandparents, Vardaman (Ella Mae) Bond; and his great niece, Romi Fagan.
Though cancer took him from this world, it never diminished his spirit His strength, resilience, and love for others will never be forgotten.
A service to celebrate his life will be held Friday, April 17, 2026, at Steep Hollow Baptist Church at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Chrisco will be laid to rest at Persimmon Hill Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following service.
Chrisco will be deeply missed and forever loved.
"To know him was to love him, and his love will remain with us always."
Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Ladner family and ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayer in the days to come.
