Christine Diane Miller

Christine Patton Miller, 67, passed away on Wednesday, April 22nd at home in Long Beach, MS. Christine was born on January 24, 1959 in Gulfport, MS, the youngest of three children born to Burton Aaron, Sr. and Vada Mae (Barrett) Saucier. Christine grew up on the Coast, spending some time in most cities and towns, except Biloxi. She enjoyed playing sports with her brothers and was known as the tag-along. She played right along with her brothers, including baseball, football, and whatever else they did. Christine attended Harrison County schools, opting to complete her educational pursuits in the 9th grade. She married William C. Breland and they had four children and made their home in Gulfport. Christine worked in housekeeping for local hotels working for Edgewater Inn in Biloxi. She also worked at the garment factory Maybelle's and raised many children. She worked hard through the years to provide for her children. Favorite past-times include hunting for arrowheads and collecting rocks, finding many through the years, and caring for her mother and loved ones. She is remembered as a loving, caring woman who took care of others. She was the one her family turned to when they needed something. Dependable, sincere, and always there are just a couple of the words used to describe her. Christine will be sadly missed by all whose life she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents Vada Mae Saucier (Mother), Burton Aaron Patton (Father), Terry L. Miller (husband), Robert Breland (Son), Jake Schorghofer (nephew), Anthony Wright (nephew), Virginia Breland "Ninner" (daughter), Frank Patton (Brother), Roy Switzer (Brother), Rodney Robertson (brother), Georgia O'Connor (Sister), Frances Garret (sister), Pat Patton (sister), and Doris Fore (Sister). Christine is survived by her ex-husband William C. Breland Sr, Children William C. Breland Jr, Don Breland (Rhonda), Angela Breland (Victor Jerone III), Nicholas Miller (Deanna), Brother Aaron Patton (Laurie), Sister Judy Cuevas (H.J.), sister Goldie Duria, sister Linda Thurman, sister Linda Robertson,15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends. Her final wishes were to be buried next to her husband in Finley Cemetery, which her family is honoring. Visitation is from 3-4pm Saturday, April 25th at Trinity Funeral Services in McHenry, funeral services will be at 4pm with interment to Finley cemetery to follow.
