Mr. Charles Edward Whorton, Iii

Mr. Charles Edward "Ed" Whorton, III, 24 of Lumberton, passed away on Monday, June 27th, 2016. Ed was a very loving young man, with a huge heart. He dearly loved to hunt and fish, taking every opportunity he could to do so. He was well-liked by all who knew him, and will be so very sadly missed. He is survived by his father, Charles Edward Whorton, Jr. and loving step-mother, Christine, of Lumberton; his mother, Ginger L. Whorton of Wiggins; brothers James Allen Oxner and Ellis Lee Whorton, a sister, Bethany Nicole Whorton, grandmothers Myrtle Whorton and Bety Wurts, both of Lumberton; grandparents Darby & Kathy Morgan of Byron, GA., and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles E. Whorton, Sr., Jerry & Bobbie McClendon, Gary Wurts, and Robert & Francis Fairley. Ed's parents have donated all usable organs and tissues, so that Ed can continue to give and help others, as he loved to do. Ed's wishes was for cremation, and his parents are following his wishes.
